My subject line was Dancing Tach as I recall, anyway I replaced the
distibutor with one from the bus depot (best price) and everything was
normal. Other listees suggested it could have been just the Hall Sender
but hey it's all 12 years old (on my 87) so I figured replace it all
now.

May or may not be the reason for your dance(craziness), I think the
dealer can test it though.
