Is this '87 or'90 head gasket and o-ring materials upgrade real? How many
have heard about it, and how reliable are your sources. I heard it from
the best of source  my V.W. dealer mechanic/supervisor. Yet I hear enough
stories of these year vehicles still having the same head gasket leaks.
Would it be due to poor coolants with phosphate, or what?
