I've read on the list how a Golf II clock assembly will fit in the vanagon,
but I wondered if anyone had tried the digital clock display and circuit
board from an Audi 5000.  I found one from an '86 at a junkyard the other
day.  Apart from the clear plastic bit that transmits the light for
backlighting the display and the fact that the Audi display has a red
background, it all looked the same, but when I tried it in my 90 GL it
didn't work.  So, is the Audi clock just broken, or is there something
different about it not apparent to me?
