What a sad story! It is my understanding that once you remove the driveshaft from a Syncro, it can be safely towed like any other manual transmission vehicle. However, if you want to be doubly safe, rent an auto transporter trailer from U-Haul, and use a large tow vehicle to go get it. Good luck.
