Subject:Re: 27x8.50 14 LT, does it fit. - SORTA

I've got Bridgestone Desert Duellers on my Syncro, in the same size.
(27x8.50 14)
The spare JUST fits under in the spare tire well, BUT, IMHO, changes need
to be made to fit the tire properly. The problem is that the wire rods
above the tire press into the tire sidewall, and after many miles, make
PERMANENT indentations in the sidewall.

I think that I'm going to either place a solid flat something up there to
spread out the load, OR, more likely, try to bend the top bars or drop the
bottom carrier somehow. It's been a while since I looked at the problem,
so I kinda have forgot what I was goint to do, but I expect to get back to
the issue in the comming months.

SO, THE ANSWER IS KINDA, SORTA, BUT.........

My new acquired Syncro has 4 BFG 27x8.50 14 LT, Radial All Terrain T/A
tires. The spare tire is pretty bald and a different tire.

Will a 27x8.50 14 fit in the sapre tire carrier?
