Please do some > research before saying incorrect information! I should have clarified that I am referring only to the Bosch filter sold in the United States. Bosch may indeed be making their own filter and selling it elsewhere in the world, but the U.S.-distributed Bosch Vanagon oil filters I have seen here were not their own. I am not the only one who has made this observation, as a check of the archives will confirm. Furthermore, the filters sold by Volkswagen of America here in the U.S. are German made filters a la Mann, NOT the U.S. made filters sold here under the Bosch name. Again, if you are outside of the U.S., you may be getting a different filter than we are, as Bosch does not always distribute the identical product to all markets. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. http://www.busdepot.com
