I had a similar problem in my home with a carpet that was part of a house
breaking learning curve.  I tried three different enzyme type products ..
apply wet, keep wet, and finally dry out.  None worked, but nor make any
noticeable improvement.  Then I tried Odorzout.  It is a dry powder and
worked fine.
