Has anybody come up with something simple and relatively inexpensive?
Nothing is full-proof, so I'm just looking for a deterrent and maybe a small
peace of mind. I'm reasonably handy with wiring, so I can wire it up myself.

Maybe I'll mount an inconspicuous kill-switch for the coil too, but I think
the probability of being broken into for the contents is a lot higher than
the probability of somebody actually driving off with the van.
