I used a suction pump (something that looks a little like a grease gun) to fill my tranny. I kept adding fluid until it ran out of the fill hole. Adding a plastic hose on the end of the suction pump seemed to do the trick, and I even got to the point where I could snake the hose via the right rear wheel-well to the fill hole in the tranny (so I did not have to keep crawling under the van) Todd '88 westy George Chapman wrote: > Hi, Volks; > > I'm preparing to change the gear oil in my 91GL transaxle. > Is there a gravity fill method for refilling the transaxle > (while its in the car)?
