The PO of my '87 Syncro modified the drain plug!  It now has a threadless
shank welded on it!  It does not fit flush enough to use the crush ring
anymore.  I guess this was a uneducated attempt to end the need for the
crush ring.  Well it doesn't work and it leaks pretty bad.  Any fix to
this or only new plug?  How much is a new plug?
