Just a quick word of gratitude for all who responded regarding used parts
in my neck of the woods (which have all been cleared away for farmland,
which in turn is being eaten up by developers...).  It's neat to see so
many (relatively) Ontarians on this list.

The Westie that I was moderately interested in became a pass when I managed
to see it running -- major exhaust leaks, visible oil burner, no power or
idle, and has never been rebuilt (170,000 km).

Probably a good thing, as ideally I'd like a diesel Westfalia in good shape
(feel free to alert me to any deals!), so I'll keep on saving my $$ and
lurking on the Vanagon list!
