Actually synthetic oil is very hard to burn. One very cold and wet night while
trying to get a camp fire started with wet wood, I decided to add a little
engine oil to some rags and paper to get things started. The only oil I had
was Mobil 1 15w50 100% synthetic. I could not get the oil soaked stuff to
burn.
