I called the dealer who doesn't have the trim panel I'm looking for. I asked
if they had a U.S. wide parts locating system (similar to Ford) where it can
track down stock at the dealership level. He was quite ignorant about how
his system worked. He thought some dealer may still be on the older computer
system (maybe called "the VW system") which then might have this capability.

Anybody know how or who can do a national search for a part?

The part in question is 255867015N colour code: UG1. Driver's interior trim
panel

Thanks! Mike

Subject: [VANAGON] `87 up Driver's interior door panel needed

Hi all, The bodyshop that has butchered my `87 Westy has to replace my door
panel after ripping it where the speaker goes in. They said they can't get
it from VW.

Does anyone have one in-as-close to perfect condition as possible? It will
be paid for by the shop so any reasonable price can be paid.

Lemme know! Thanks,

Mikey
