I started up the Van tonight after a few days of sitting and low and
behold...a loud "putt putt" noise from the back. I have a new muffler...but
the pipes are looking a wee on the rusty side. I can't see any holes
(without hoisting it up). Any thoughts on what it might be (except the last
of my savings :-( , again.)
I haven't had any engine problems...sensors new..etc.
Funny...today i saw (heard) another Vanagon go by and i asked my friend if
my van was so loud. Who knew it would be by the time i got home.
sigh.

Someone point me in the right direction if you will..
