Hi Volks,
    The air conditioner condenser is attached to the van through 85 and 86
westy, just lower the radiator on these models.  All nonwesty 86  and later
the radiator and condenser are removed as a single unit, lower and then
separate. In both cases it is unnecessary to remove the ac hoses to remove
the radiator.
