do any of you guys have any suggestions about what i can do about this
other than putting the v-dub engine back in the van? i'd like to keep the
van how it is, but i don't have the money to invest in a daily driver or a
better tranny.

if works comes to worse, i can part out the a/c system and the middle
seatw/tracks and maybe even think about selling the 914 transaxle that was
destined to go into the van.
but again, if any of you have suggestions that might help, please let me
know.
