Mike,
is the knurl the same pitch as the VW studs? I had sourced 14mm Porsche studs 
for the front hubs of my syncro but the knurl was too thin compared to the 
stock VW�s so they did not press in tight. Ive heard mechanics will throw a 
weld spot on the back of the stud onto the hub to secure a loose stud.
