easy to fix. Youcan do it with the tranny if i think too! Take off CV joint. Clean that cone thing. User a screw-driver and pry out (destroying) the seal in there. Aim towards the center of the seal when you pry it out- it has a 3/8" lip. Remove the circlip from inside that thing. Now just slide the final drive flange thing our. Under that is a plastic cone/dirt guard held on by two screws. Take that out. you will now see THE seal. Pup it out. Go to a shop and get new ones. By the way, the outer blue destroyed seals are the samea as a type two seal :-) the inners ones were stocked at my VW /foreign flaps. Shouldn't be more than 5 smackers for everything. I didn't replace the outer balck plastic dirt guard- just cleaned it instead. Hope this helps. Have fun. email me if you have questions! -matthew 84 weekender Matthew Pollard http://www.uidaho.edu/~poll7356 Dept. of Chemistry http://www.chem.uidaho.edu University of Idaho http://www.uidaho.edu
