Having just removed my propane tank for a scrape and paint job and to also repair the 'quick stop' valve. During my last fill up (in northern New Mexico) the operator bugged up the push button under the red cap, saying it wouldn't fill so he beat it in with a ballpeen. I have restored it to as normal as can be and it seems to work in and out fine now. My questions are... Is the pressure from the filling hose needed to push that valve out? Should pressure from the filling hose be applied -before- the red valve is pushed in? Or versa-visa? I want to make sure the next fillup is done right and the tank is empty. It looks too nice to hang under the van and get all dirty again! Thanks all, Ed Henckel 'The Vulture Vesty' Mt Bethel, PA
