After doing a recent headgasket replacement, my trusted local non-dealer
mechanic told me I need a new #1 and #3 exhaust pipes replaced on my 89
Westy due to some holes/cracks in them that would prevent it from passing
inspection next month (they are pretty rusty, so it wasn't a big surprise).
I have a Bentley but I couldn't identify from the picture and descriptions
which pipes are considered to be the #1 and #3 pipes.  I'll know which ones
they are next week when I go to the shop and have him point it out to me,
but until then I was hoping someone could help me identify in the Bentley
manual which pipes are considered to be the #1 and #3 pipes.
