Last weekend I saw a 80s era Ford van that someone had modified with some
westy parts.  It had the full poptop and roof rack, plus the frig/sink/stove
cabinet, rear fold out bench, and closet from an 83 westy.  According to the
owner, the only thing left to do was to hook up the water tank.  It wasn't a
VW, but it was pretty cool anyway.  If those leaking head gaskets are really
getting to you, maybe this is an option.
