I was thinking about replacing each bulb with one LED, but I have to get some
LEDs and do a bit of research first. I haven't checked around here to see if
they are available though.

The bulbs light onto the the faces, while the bulbs behind the indicator etc.
light direct. The dimming function wouldn't work, I guess. Don't know, though.
