I have recently purchased a set of carat wheels which are in need of
sanding and refinishing. I'm thinking of painting them a slightly darker
grey than original, and then clear coating over that. -the wheels now
have the coating chipping off and are scraped up where wheel weights
were previously on them. They also have various scratches.- My question
is what type of primer / clear coat should I use on alloy wheels or
should I just clear coat. Will clear coating darken the wheels.
