Looking for extra rear light myself and would like to know the procedure for your "upgrade" beyond the thumbnail sketch. Personally I've used regular stop/tail light dual filament bulbs in the tail light socket and it is noticibly brighter as it burns on the stop light filament. I'm still interested in your extra "cateye" lamp though.
