Your story of implicating your wife in the destruction of your shifter (I
wouldn't want to arm wrestle her!) reminded me of another fellow I met while
working as a valet parker.

He drove up in a VW Jetta that looked nice except both rear door handles were
ripped off.  When I asked him what happened he meekly told me that his wife
is used to the kind of door handles you pull to open and not the kind you
squeeze. :)
