I have been slowly restoring a '74 Bus (started last year and just got to the driver's side this year). The bus is very solid and well worth saving but it does have some rust (less than normal for NJ but still some). Today I removed the rear driver's side window of the bus and upon cleaning out the bottom ledge with a stainless wire brush I have some pinholes in the ledge. So here is the question: How do I fix the rust here? What I normally do is sand, clean, apply naval jelly, let it sit, clean, prime, sand, paint. I want to know how I should seal these pin holes. Should I prime it up and fill the holes with bondo? Or maybe just some silicon? Or is there some other way to seal them that will be more permanent, etc. Any help you can give would be appreciated. It is good to see that the passenger's side rust (which was treated as I have described) is still at bay after a year of sitting on my lot. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
