Subject:Re: Fold-a-Carrier for Westy gray water

I was just trying to be funny. Most were not amused. I have
used the graywater from my washing machine to water my fig trees
during a draught.

Grey water can be used effectively in well planned systems, but
simply
dumping it on the ground may cause real problems. As with
anything, a
little goes a LONG way. Excessive nutrient problems (nitrogen,
phosphorous, etc) may not be apparent to most folks, and the
small
additions each individual may contribute may not seem like much,
but
eventually, they become really serious. Additionally, food
wastes
create nuisance problems (and mixed with soaps can create
wildlife
illnesses) while "other" wastes create additional concerns.
