I've also wondered about this before for other applications.....can anyone answer with authority? Can other VW transaxle diffs have the ring/pinion flipped for reverse configuration operation?(not turning it upside-down) I have a 2.2 inline 5 cyl w/ auto trans that would scream in a bug/bus. I always thought that if this could be done, it would HAVE been done by now, and there wouldn't be so many adapter kits on the market..... any answers? -----Original Message----- From: EMZ <vw4x4@FYI.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Date: Thursday, October 14, 1999 09:53 Subject: Re: Audi Tranny in Vanagon...how? was: Audi V-8 in a Vanagon...why not? > What happened to how simple it is to do this, as stated by the >previous posting.
