I've been doing a little tinkering with my Syncro's 2.0L I4 engine. Currently in "stock" form I can get 0 to 60MPH in 20 seconds. This is done via: - Stock Volkswagen Hydrolic lifter cam - 8 BTDC ignition timing @ 950 RPM - 205 S distributor with 86 GTI timing map - 1.5% CO - 27" tires installed It's been so long that I have driven a boxer I was wondering if this is much faster than stock. Tomorrow I will try two cams in there, a 266 degree and a 268 degree... results will follow. -- David Marshall - - Quesnel, BC, Canada -- -- 78 VW Rabbit, 80 VW Caddy, 84 VW Westie, 85 VW Cabriolet -- -- 87 Audi 5000 Quattro, 88 2.0L VW Syncro Double Cab -- -- David's Volkswagen Home Page http://www.volkswagen.org -- -- Fast Forward Autobahn Sport Tuning http://www.fastforward.ca -- -- david@volkswagen.org (pmail) or vanagon@volkswagen.org (list) --
