Subject:Re: .5 Bar ? VDO oil pres Sender okay?

The .5 BAR sender will make the buzzer come on earlier as it is a warning
of too low of oil pressure. .5 BAR may be asking for trouble. I have seen
many 1.8L and 2.0L Golf engines hover around .5BAR at idle when the oil is
130C... more reason to run 20w50 weight oil!

All the sender does is opens the connection to ground when the pressure
drops below 0.3 BAR triggering the idot light to come on.
