The passenger power mirror on my '87 Westfalia is no longer operative. Winter's
coming on so, before I "reinvent the wheel" and begin disassembling parts, I'm
calling in your opinions in order to avoid spending too much time repairing the
problem in a cold garage.

Here's the problem: When attempting to adjust the vertical positioning of the
passenger side mirror an audible click is emitted from the mirror but... no
clicking sound is heard when adjusting the horizontal position. Nevertheless,
the mirror won't move in either direction. The driver's side power mirror works
a-OK.

Any opinions on whether this is a switch problem or a dead power mirror
motor...or something else?
