Hello All:
   84 Westy 148k miles, auto.   About the last few days have heard a "dry"
sound from the back of the bus.  Sound stopped as I stepped on the gas.
Having no problem excelerating but tonight speeding up to 45 or so, the van
seemed to lunge, clunk and then back to normal all within 1 second.   About a
minute latter, the same thing.  Headed back to the house.   No signs of
drips.

   OK gang...where do I start to solve this problem.  Did I blow a gear?  Is
that possible with an Auto?  The van drove fine on the way home but I never
went above 35 or so.
