I was just at my tire dealer and picked up a Goodyear full tire line
brochure.

Listed is a "Goodyear Wrangler HT" said to be "Our quietest all-weather
touring Wrangler". Its a tire "designed for Light trucks, vans, RV's and
4x4's".

This tire seems an ideal alternative for Vanagons: it is rated for
1708lbs at 53psi. Load range C, light truck designation. It has black
sidewall (most Wranglers have the ugly white outline letters). Approved
for 5-6in rims.

I posted this because I have never seen this tire mentioned here before.
