The way to compensate is to figure out the equivalent Circumference of the 15 inch tire. One equality would be a 215R60/15 tire. This works almost perfectly for a 195R78/14 tire. Another equivalent tire is a 205R65/15 tire. These are both within 2 0r 3% of original Circumference. I have a set of 15" Chromed Steel wheels off my Toyota PU with the same stud pattern as the vanagon. I know the offset is wrong, it is to the outside. What are the ramifications of using this wheel on my VW? tim "shawn a. zenor" <nomad@RT66.COM> wrote: > I too would be very interested as long as you have a way to compensate the > speedo for resultant inaccuracies... > > ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.
