There is (was) a block heater sold by VW Canada. It is an electrical element that replaces the freeze plug nearest the flywheel on a Vanagon diesel. The part no. is A 009 207 D, which also fits 1973-on Dasher and Audi Fox. Mike <mjcatlin@pacbell.net> '82 Diesel
