These are only available from the dealer, as far as I know, and the price
isn't all that bad. However VW now makes the bulb and socket available
seperately, so you will need both. The bulbs can be puchased at a normal
supplier once you have the new sockets.

This was brought up the other day and i never saw anyone reply with where i
can find one of these. My 85 westy has lost the light over the speedo. I
took it out and it looks like a one piece light and housing. Is this
available at my FLAPS or does it need to be ordered from a List vendor or
(please no!!) the dreaded local VW dealership.
