Dick, thanks for answering the list back.  I would normally not post my
response to the List but since it is Friday (Off-Topic day) then I will.

Actually you made a good point about the List needing a website on which to
organize different things.  However we already have this.  It is called
http://www.vanagon.com.  It pretty much covers everything you already named
except for a few minor things that Coyote is going to be adding in the near
future (Right Ron? :)

If you want pure Vanagon technical stuff I suggest checking out my website at
http://199.217.188.30/disc2_frm.htm.  This is the "Ask Ken" section of my
site where folks write in with technical questions about Vanagons and I
respond (and others are free to respond as well).  You will find no birth
announcements on this page, or any other "human interest" stuff, just Vanagon
How-To articles and discussions of various Vanagon woes, etc.  I check this
site at least once a day and try to keep it constantly updated so Check it
Out!

As for posting my birth announcement, just wanted to say that it is Vanagon
related as I am getting ready to pick up my wife and child in our '91 Carat
Vanagon :)  Also I try to NEVER post anything like this unless it is Friday,
out of respect for those on the List who are easily offended by off-topic
posting, but since you all have become like family to me over the past
several years, I just thought you would like to know (and thanks for all of
the congratulations which are still coming in!)

So I hope you will stay and learn that, yes, the Vanagon List started as a
place to trade technical Know-How, but it has become so much more.
