I recently noticed that the clutch pedal on my '84 has over an inch of freeplay. I never measured it before, but it seems like the freeplay got much worse over the course of a week of driving on vacation. I have traced the problem to something between the clutch pedal and the shaft on the slave cylinder (like maybe the pin that connects the two is about to fall out!), but I can't figure out how to get to it to check. Bently shows a picture of the components, but no help as to how to get to it. I have removed the instrument cluster and the fuse box, do I have to drop the steering column too? Anything else have to come out to get access? Bill
