Subject: Syncro Westies: Asking prices

Over the past two years I have been collecting FS notices for Syncro
Westies from this list and ep.com and a few others. As I may be selling my
91 syncro westy, I decided to tabulate the ASKING prices of the FS vans on
which I have collected data. In an effort to head off criticism: this is
not an
academic study, it is anecdotal at at best and some vans may have been
counted twice (thrice?) if I didn't catch that it was listed here and Ep.com
and other places. Also the data is irrespective of milage and condition.
Price is in US$. FWIW, here are the summary results and then the raw data:

Year AVG: St Dev. Count:
1986 13,522 1,742 11
1987 15,427 1,990 20
1988 no data no data 0
1989 17,011 1,616 9
1990 19,473 4,052 19
1991 17,208 3,662 6
