You might want to skip the tools and put in a new engine and maybe transmission! The chances of him making it all the way to Florida are slim to none unless he can document that those units are in good shape. Check out the tires and brakes too. Those air cooled 1600's work very hard, and have a pretty short life. I and a good family friend shared a spare engine to install at the drop of a hat, or before a long trip if the one in use had more than 50k on it. I had a '68 Westy and he had a '72 Dormobile. He still has that Dormobile (it came with Grateful Dead stickers too). It now has over 400,000 miles on it, and I don't know how many engines and transmissions. Doesn't drive it anymore, I think he just keeps it around for the memories. -- Stuart MacMillan Manager, Case Program 800-909-8244 ext 208 Getting your share of the Net yet? http://www.cobaltgroup.com http://www.casedealer.com/demo http://www.caseihdealer.com/demo
