I just put a U-joint into my '87 syncro and I got just the u-joint from
my local VW parts store, (BOW WOW VW).  It was a whopper though, $103.
and it looks no different from any other u-joint.  I plan to measure the
old one and have my local parts warehouse cross-refernce this part.
It's just got to be out there!       Mike G.
