Absolute pearl of wisdom imparted by Dr. Bulley. Thank you. It goes in my archive, nailed to my shop wall, tattooed on my... well that's a bit manic, but it definitely is a KEEPER! One little thing I'd like to add to the soak, tap, clean formula: After following the regime tighten lightly first, then change direction to remove. [so it could read; soak, tap, clean, tighten lightly, remove]. Seems that when I apply a light opposite torque to a stubborn nut or bolt just before flipping the ratchet switch, or reversing the wrench, it comes off a bit easier. I'd learned that soak/tap rule a long time ago on motorcycle engines and such- it's a worthy mantra. The 'tighten lightly' is something I've discovered after years of practice. Sometimes I just lean into the wrench as if to tighten, then start the remove action in earnest (maybe it makes my muscles work better?)
