I had a similar problem in my '82 Westy. The rears are blow, only 1 front worked, and all the speaker holes were just too small for a 1/2 way decent sounding speaker. The solution came with the addition of a pair of enclosed alluminum cabinet speakers from radio-shack. They are not the best speaker in the world, but at $70 a pair on sale they were not too expensive. I now lay them behind the front seats pointing up. There is enough cord to put them on the roof if needed, and they are heavy enough to stay put in all but the most extream road conditions. They could use some more bass, but for the kind of listening I do, they work well enough. Just a thought Chris Smith '82 Westy '74 Thing Too much other stuff
