Subject:Re: No Low Beams
Date:Wed, 8 Dec 1999 11:54:55 EST

Tom, There are two fuses (Bentley says 3 and 4) for the low beams. There are
no relays in the system. The other three other possibilities are:
Bad Headlight Dimmer Flasher Switch (the arm that you pull to switch to high
beams)
Bad ignition switch
Bad headlight switch
(Although these last two usually are indicated by the fact that you have to
hold the high beams on to get them to work).
To check ignition switch, check for voltage while the ignition switch is in
"on" position at the black and yellow wire at the back of the headlight
switch.
To check headlight switch check the white and black wire at the headlight
dimmer switch with the ignition switch "on" and the headlight switch on.
If you get this far then the headlight dimmer switch has to be the culprit
(unless you haven't checked the fuses yet or somehow both of your headlight
low beams have blown simultaneously :)

If you need parts here is a list with prices:
Headlight switch $19
Ignition switch $9
Headlight Dimmer/Turn signal switch- $30 new.

Fuses you can get locally for very cheap.

Hope this helps,
Ken Wilford
