Don't even get me started.

Our stupid archaic system of measurement is an embarrassment, and an
impediment. It's no wonder we can't get a lander on Mars. Botswana has more
of a chance of landing on Mars, by simple virtue if the fact that any
primitive Botswanan school child could assist in the calculations in
metric.

Can anyone tell me, why we didn't switch in 1976 to the simple, clean,
easy-to-use metric system from the backwards, inches/fluid
ounces/furlongs/quarts/drams/pints/rods/tablespoons/acres/yards/pounds/cups
system?
