FWIW: I put a set of Boston Acoustics(4 of them) in the AC housing holes in rear and stock holes up front. Thefront grilles chafe the dash housing a little but they sound so good, I'll tolerate it. As far as subwoofer goes, I bought a pr of Radio shack ported boxes for $5 a pr on closeout that currently house 8" Rockford Fosgate subwoofers, driven by a 4x75 Rms R/F amp under passenger seat with no cooling fan. Also have SP-400 nakamichi's on the bottom of the doors. Source material is a sony 10 CD changer. Not to start a stereo one upsmanship here, but for the $1,100 I have in this system, I would bet few systems sound any better without substantial increases in cost over that initial 1,100 bucks. I'd rather hear my stereo than the engine(burnt out from that driving a 79 for 12 years and yes, I love music Amp was 5 bills(and the soul of the system) Sony was 3 bills Nak's were 2 bills(discounted many years ago) 4 Boston speakers for a C-note on closeout Dimwitted Moose and Flying Squirrel
